It's official: Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant is mad that he wasn't invited to the All-Star game this year.

The 17-16 Grizzlies are in a legitimate playoff hunt, despite playing without Jaren Jackson Jr. Morant and his Grizzlies ended up losing a tight one to the Denver Nuggets, but Morant was feeling it.

How else do you explain this:

Good god, Ja. Have some mercy on Michael Porter, Jr.

Luckily, Denver won this game, otherwise, this highlight would have been the story of the game, along with this incredible half-court buzzer-beater.

As mentioned, the Nuggets survived the game, eking out a 103-102 win over the Grizzlies. The win probably blankets the fact that MPJ looked horrendous defensively. If Memphis had won tonight, especially after that highlight-reel play, then it would have been talked about for some time. The thing is, no one cares about a great highlight if your team loses the game.

The sad thing is, highlights like this are happening all the time in Memphis. They just aren't apart of the national conversation, and simply they are just not talked about enough. Morant has been impressive in the year and a half in the league. The reigning rookie of the year has the shake and bake, to get around any defender. If you're not watching Grizzlies basketball, you should get started immediately.

And please, please, start before Ja Morant starts to become one of the forgotten greats of the next decade.
