Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant may be just in his second year in the NBA, but that doesn't mean he's lacking that veteran wit. He proved that to Golden State Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Draymond Green.

In the first half of the do-or-die play-in fight between the Grizzlies and Warriors on Friday, Morant recorded what could be said as the best highlight of the first 24 minutes with a double pass fake while Curry and Draymond Green were guarding him. The 2020 Rookie of the Year made the two stars look silly, completely fooling them before banking in the easy lay-up.

To add insult to the injury, the Grizzlies dominated the first half, ending with a 13-point lead at 62-49. Ja Morant was phenomenal early on, recording 12 points to lead Memphis in scoring.

While Stephen Curry had 17 points in the half, he struggled in the second and scored only three points, allowing the Grizzlies to pull away with a big lead heading into halftime.

It sure looks like Morant is embracing the challenge of playing Curry after saying that there's “no debate” the 2020-21 season scoring leader is the MVP over Nikola Jokic, Joel Embiid and other contenders.

While the Grizzlies lost 2-1 in their season series against the Warriors, Morant is showing Steph and Co. they cannot underestimate them–especially in a game where the playoffs is on the line.
