Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant has been making headlines as of late, thanks to his rather shocking Twitter activity. He and Draymond Green have engaged in a major back-and-forth, and some just couldn't believe the youngster is fighting in the war of words.

When someone asked Morant why he was “thuggin” even though he is already rich, the Grizzlies superstar responded and emphasized that he has always been like that. Being rich didn't change him, and he has no plans to.

“Cuz da money won't ever change me. Been on dat, still on dat, forever on dat, won't ever speak on it,” Morant wrote on Twitter.

Ja Morant's competitiveness is really showing in his Twitter activities this offseason. Ever since they were eliminated by the Warriors in the second round, he has never missed engaging with both his fans and haters.

Fortunately, though, something good came out of it. Both Morant and Green agreed on a Christmas Day showdown between the Warriors and Grizzlies, and while the NBA has yet to plan for the Holiday slate–let alone approve their challenge to each other–the exchange between the two stars has undoubtedly generated a ton of hype around the potential matchup.

Surely, the NBA will be forced to consider it.

The Warriors and Grizzlies have developed a rivalry of sorts during their second round showdown, and sure enough, things got more intense.
