Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant barked back to Stephen Curry after the Golden State Warriors star replied to some shade from Morant and Dillon Brooks, who commented on Andre Iguodala's trade situation.
Morant, the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year, simply replied with a pair of emojis and featured a photo of Kevin Durant, likely citing it as a reason why Iguodala is a three-time champion:

Curry had posted an Instagram photo of Iguodala with the 2017-18 NBA title to silence Brooks, a third-year player who said he was anxious to see Iguodala get traded to show him what Memphis is all about:

“It's not a distraction at all. I laugh at that type of stuff. A guy that's on our team that doesn't want to be on our team, I can't wait til we find a way to trade him so we can play him and show him what really Memphis is about.”
Curry clearly felt Brooks had no place speaking about Iguodala without having even made the playoffs in his young career, but Morant was right there to silence the two-time MVP with a gut-punch barb.
Morant has been known to never back down from trash talk, even if he doesn't have the tenure to make such bold claims to a bona-fide star. The Grizzlies youngsters certainly aren't going to go down without a fight.
Memphis is a shocking 25-25 on the season, putting them in the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference thanks to a brash young core led by Ja Morant.
