Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant played a pivotal role in his team's win over the Golden State Warriors, as he scored a playoff career-high 47 points, including the final 15 Grizzlies' points of the game to secure the 106-101 victory. In what amounted to another physical game between the two teams, Morant took a shot to the eye in the third quarter, with the injury having a lingering effect in the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies star explained how it impacted- or didn't impact- his incredible finish to the contest against the Warriors, per Ben Golliver of the Washington Post.

Morant said that he couldn't see out of his left eye in the fourth quarter of the win over the Warriors. No one would have ever known, seeing as Morant helped close out the game with 18 of his 47 points in the game's final period.

Like Michael Jordan's Flu Game, perhaps this game should be remembered as the ‘Eye game.' Whatever you want to call it, Morant and the Grizzlies sure are thankful that he has a right eye in these NBA Playoffs.

With just one other Grizzlies player in the starting lineup finishing in double figures, the franchise needed every single point they got from Morant.

The Murray State product has actually been a bit inefficient by his standards in these playoffs so far, though he has erupted for 34 and 47 points in the NBA Playoffs series' first two games.

If Morant can put up performances like that with one eye, the Warriors could have their hands full with the Grizzlies star when he's operating with normal vision.
