Morant and Nunn won this award for the month of December as well.
Nunn has been a great story for the Heat. He went undrafted in the 2018 NBA Draft. Nunn signed a contract with the Golden State Warriors on July 13, 2018, but was waived by the Dubs on October 12, 2018.

The Heat signed Nunn to a multiyear NBA deal on April 10, 2019. He’s now the starting point guard in Miami and has been turning heads left and right with his stellar play.
Nunn is averaging 15.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game for the Heat while shooting 46.2 percent from the field, 35.8 percent from beyond the arc and 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Morant, the second overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, is the new franchise player in Memphis in the post-Mike Conley era. The explosive guard is putting up 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 44 games and shooting 49.2 percent overall, 38.5 percent from the 3-point line and 78.1 percent from the charity stripe.
Since New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson made his regular season debut in January, Morant has a good shot at winning the Rookie of the Year Award, although Nunn figures to have something to say about that when it’s all said and done.
