Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo has made a ton of highlights in his career—one of which came in Thursday’s game versus the Portland Trail Blazers.
In the first half of the game, Adebayo snatched the ball in mid-air as he blocked All-Star Damian Lillard’s floater attempt. This highlights Adebayo's impressive defensive skills and his ability to grab the ball right off the air.

Adebayo, who’s currently in his fourth season, is averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 5.4 assists a game. The Heat have had an up-and-down season so far but they are banking on their recent trades to hopefully improve their winning ways.

As of writing, the Heat are fifth in the East's standings with a record of 22-22. They’re coming off a losing streak after dropping two games to the Indiana Pacers and the Phoenix Suns.
Adebayo had stated that his defensive skills have always been present in his game. It won’t be a shocker if the University of Kentucky alumni wins a Defensive Player of the Year award one day. To recall, one of his best defensive plays happened in the NBA bubble when he blocked Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum’s game-winning dunk attempt.
Adebayo’s overall basketball skills will only continue to improve—he is, after all, only in his fourth year of professional basketball. Last year, Adebayo made a case to win the Most Improved Player award but fell short against New Orleans Pelicans All-Star Brandon Ingram.
Adebayo has blossomed into one of the most complete centers in the league. The Heat star isn't only leading the South Beach squad's frontline but also the evolution of modern NBA big men.
