Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks came to terms on a three-year, $186 million contact extension Monday, before the regular season begins. The contract locks Giannis in until through the 2026-2027 season.

After signing the contract, Giannis made a shocking admission that he signed the deal without knowing how much he'd be making from it.

“I'm excited I can be here until 2026-27,” Giannis said. “It was the first time in my NBA career I didn't know the number of my contract. I just signed it because I wanted to be here,” via Scott Grodsky.

However, many fans weren't buying the idea that Giannis agreed to the deal without knowing the amount. Tons of commenters called “cap” on the post, suggesting Giannis wasn't honest in his confession. Though it's hard to verify if fans are right with their suspicion, the news at the end of the day is Giannis will stay in Milwaukee for the new future.

The 2x NBA MVP and former Defensive Player of the Year continues to be one of the more “loyal” players in the NBA as he's stayed with the same franchise for a decade now. With Giannis set to stay another three years, he could be one of the few players these days to remain on the same team his entire career.

Giannis Antetokounmpo will now set his sights on winning his second championship with the Bucks. They have new addition Damian Lillard to help Milwaukee get back to the NBA Finals once the team hits the playoffs. Their season begins against the Philadelphia 76ers Thursday.
