Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer got emotional in the aftermath of Game 5 on Friday.

The Bucks were officially eliminated from the 2020 playoffs by the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference semifinals. However, while the disappointment of failing to live up to expectations weighed in heavily on coach Bud, it was his team's decision to fight social injustice that brought tears in his eyes.

Shortly after the Bucks' 103-94 loss, the two-time NBA Coach of the Year winner recalled his team's decision to boycott Game 5 of their first-round series against the Orlando Magic. The bold move was a form of protest for another unjust shooting of African American civilian Jacob Blake in Kenosha, Wisconsin last month.

Budenholzer got all choked up when he remembered his troops' decision to forfeit an important playoff game just to send a message against police brutality and racial profiling.

The Bucks' boycott triggered a series of events around the league, as the NBA was forced to postpone all the scheduled games that day.

Mike Budenholzer and Milwaukee may have failed to reach their goals on the court this 2019-20 campaign, but they certainly made a huge difference that's bigger than basketball.
