Minnesota Timberwolves sophomore Anthony Edwards was one of the headliners of the NBA Rising Stars competition during All-Star weekend. But he wasn't much of a factor in Friday night's festivities.

Ant-Man finished his first contest with just four points as Team Isiah beat Team Worthy by the skin of their teeth. But those hoping that he was savings himself for the Rising Stars finals were disappointed to see that he sat out the deciding game.

While he didn't offer any clear explanation other than clarify that it wasn't due to his lingering ankle injury, he did reveal one of his goals – join the big boys at the actual NBA All-Star game.

Anthony Edwards did not play in the final of the Rising Stars game. He said it had nothing to do with the ankle he sprained last week. Says he plans on playing in the headline attraction sooner than later. “It's going to happen real soon,” he said. “For sure.”

It's definitely a sore spot for Anthony Edwards to see his draft classmate LaMelo Ball selected to his first All-Star game already in their second season. Minnesota Timberwolves fans would gladly welcome an Ant-Man revenge tour post All-Star break.
