Shortly after 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday night, Brandon Jennings sent out a supportive tweet to Minnesota Timberwolves guard Jamal Crawford. In his message, Jennings suggested that Crawford, who turns 38 on March 20th, should play until he's 43 years of age.

“Jamal Crawford dude you can play till ur 43. I love ur game!!!!,” Jennings wrote. “I’m not even trying be funny! Go to China one year! And just hoop.”

Jennings, now a member of the Wisconsin Herd (Milwaukee Bucks G-League affiliate), knows a thing or two about playing in China. On July 28, 2017, the former 10th overall pick (2009) accepted a one-year, $1.5 million deal to play for the Shanxi Brave Dragons of the Chinese Basketball Association. Though he played well, the Dragons waived Jennings in December of 2017.

Crawford has established himself as one of the premier guards in the NBA. The former 8th overall pick (2000) has racked up three Sixth Man of the Year awards over the course of his 17-year career in the league.

Just how long Crawford will play in the NBA remains to be seen. One thing is certain, though: teams are always looking for good shooters. In his 64 games played this season, the Seattle native has racked up averages of 10.1 points on 41.6 percent shooting from the field (34.0 percent from beyond the arc), 2.3 assists, and 1.1 rebounds.

In what proved to be a chippy affair, Crawford and the Timberwolves were defeated by the Utah Jazz on Friday night, 116-108. Their first shot at a bounce back performance comes on Thursday night, when they welcome the Boston Celtics to Target Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. EST with TNT having live broadcast coverage.
