Karl-Anthony Towns has been the stuff of headlines of late. KAT recently signed a max extension with the Minnesota Timberwolves, further establishing his status as the team's cornerstone superstar of the future. That's not the only reason why he's been the talk of the town, though. It was recently revealed that the Brooklyn Nets offered Kevin Durant to Minnesota in exchange for a package centered around their prized big man.
What makes this proposed deal quite unbelievable is how the Nets reportedly also wanted Anthony Edwards and no less than four draft picks in exchange for KD. It's a given fact that Durant is one of the top players in the game today, but even KD isn't worth that insane package, right?
For his part, however, Towns appears to be undeterred by all these whispers. At this point, KAT is just focused on his team and how they can compete for a title this coming season. Based on his latest tweet, it is clear that Towns is all-in on the Timberwolves:

For the record, Minnesota reportedly turned down Brooklyn's KD offer. They are fully committed to their KAT-Edwards core, and not even the prospect of bringing in a future Hall-of-Famer to their team is enough to test their resolve.
The Timberwolves have made their move in the offseason, bringing in three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to Minnesota. This team has just built its new core and at this point, they have no intention of breaking it up.
