Patrick Beverley is the type of player that will do anything to get under an opponent's skin, which he did on Wednesday in the Minnesota Timberwolves 20-point win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Pat Bev evidently called LeBron James and Co. “trash”, proceeding to plug his nose as he walked by the Lakers bench. Let's be honest though, it was more a shot at his bitter enemy, Russell Westbrook.
Following the contest, the gritty Timberwolves guard took to social media to address the fireworks from the LA matchup and made it clear that the organization is just happy to be performing at a high level for their fans who have become very used to losing:
We in a positive vibe here in Minnesota. It’s been a tough 2 years, we’re using ball to bring back some love to the city. Be happy for us and the city of Minnesota❤️🙏🏾🏀✊🏿🐺🐺

The Timberwolves are actually in the playoff mix right now at 41-30 and with a solid core of D'Angelo Russell, Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and a lockdown defender like Beverley, this team isn't an easy out in the West.
After all, the franchise hasn't enjoyed a winning season since 2017/18. It's a long time coming and the players are just excited. Plus, when you can put a beatdown on the Lakers, it's always going to feel good. Pat Bev is also the type of player who will literally talk trash to anyone in the Association, it's just who he is. Beverley and Westbrook have a history of beef anyway, so it's not exactly surprising. Let Pat Bev and the Timberwolves enjoy their success.
