The fans in Minnesota are starting to turn on Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins and it's all because of his poor play on the basketball court.

The Timberwolves lost to the Atlanta Hawks in overtime on Friday night at home, and Andrew Wiggins had a terrible game. The former No. 1 overall pick finished with 16 points while shooting just 5-of-14 from the field.

It was Wiggins' struggles at the free-throw line, however, that made the fans at the game angry.

Andrew Wiggins went 5-of-12 from the free-throw line and he missed some crucial ones late in the game, prompting one fan in attendance to shout that she wants to smack Wiggins.

Andrew Wiggins was booed by the fans at the Target Center as well. For a guy who is making $25.47 million this season, his play appears to scream for more effort, energy, and passion and the fans have had enough of his idle play. There's probably a large section of fans in Minnesota who want Wiggins traded.

With the loss, the Timberwolves dropped to 16-19 on the season and 12-6 at home. It wasn't just Andrew Wiggins who couldn't hit free-throws on Friday. As a team, Minnesota shot 21-of-38 from the foul line. That's 55.3 percent. You are not going to win games in the NBA by shooting that poorly from the free-throw line.
