The matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves was one for the ages as the Wolves would mount a comeback with the hot hand from Jimmy Butler. The 28-year old would start the game cold as he could not get any shot down, as the Lakers would hold a 91-84 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
It seemed as if the Lakers were going to break their losing streak and head into the All-Star break with a win under their belt, but Butler and company had other plans. Butler would have a career fourth quarter as he helped lead the Wolves to a comeback win.
Minnesota would win the game with a 119-111 final score, but one key moment changed the momentum of the game as from this moment on, fans at the Target Center stayed on their feet and witnessed the comeback.
Article Continues BelowWith the score 99-98 in favor of the Lakers, Butler would put up a contested three-pointer that would bounce off the rim and fall into the hands of Jamal Crawford. Laker Josh Hart, who was guarding Butler at the time, was already in transition mode as he was almost to half court and realized his mistake. Butler, who was unguarded, ran towards the rim as Crawford threw the perfect pass for the alley-oop.

From this moment on, the Timberwolves would take control and momentum of the game as Butler, the wide receiver, led the historic comeback. According to Jace Frederick, Butler commented on the play and said, “I'm an NFL player at heart, I'm a wide receiver and if you throw it I will catch.”
