Minnesota Timberwolves big man Karl-Anthony Towns was visibly frustrated during Tuesday morning's media availability. The former No. 1 overall pick noted that his team, which has lost ten consecutive games, needs to be “smarter all around.”

The Timberwolves are fresh off a disappointing matchup against the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. Minnesota held a 27-point advantage at one point in the game, but a career-high 42-point effort from an inspired Buddy Hield led the Kings to a 133-129 overtime win.

Towns, who wore a No. 24 jersey during the introductions of Monday's game to honor Kobe Bryant's passing, was asked to comment on the loss to the Kings during a break in Tuesday's shootaround:

“Do you think everyone is committed right now?” a reporter asked Towns, who scored 23 points and eight rebounds in Monday's loss.

“I do,” Towns replied with a straight face. “I think everyone is committed. We've just gotta be smarter — gotta be smarter all around.”

“No one wants to be a part of history books,” Towns added. “We put ourselves in the history books for the wrong reason.”

The Timberwolves shot the ball fairly well in Monday's game, going 48.3 percent from the field and 50.0 percent from beyond the arc. However, the team struggled a bit from the free-throw line, missing 13 of their 33 attempts. Minnesota also racked up 20 turnovers.

The Wolves will look to snap their ten-game losing streak on Saturday, when they'll face off against the Clippers inside the Staples Center.
