Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Josh Okogie gave their home crowd a treat on Sunday night with several highlight plays, which made their fans more excited about his potential.
Okogie, the 20th overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, threw down several monster slams for the Timberwolves. The first one came in the 3:18 mark of the second period after receiving a pass inside the lane from Karl-Anthony Towns. Okogie slammed it home over the weak challenge from Thunder guard Dennis Schroeder.
Less than a minute later, Okogie brought fans to their feet anew. The 20-year-old guard stole a pass from Steven Adams, and eventually rose up for a two-handed flush to the delight of their fans and his teammates. The former Georgia Tech standout eventually finished with eight points.

However, the spark he provided was not enough as the Timberwolves took a 132-126 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Russell Westbrook led the way for the Thunder with a triple-double performance, racking up 27 points to go along with 15 assists and 10 rebounds.
Paul George also had a solid night for the Thunder, tallying 27 points on top of seven rebounds, six assists, and three steals. Schroeder added 21 points off the bench, Jerami Grant posted 15 points, while Markieff Morris chipped in 14 points and six boards.
With the win, the Thunder improved to 47-33, and remained seven in the tight race for position in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the Timberwolves dropped to 36-44, and will likely finish 10th in their stacked conference. Minnesota reached the playoff last season as the eighth seed with a 47-35 card.
