For the second-straight year (third in the last five seasons), EuroLeague club Real Madrid will be bringing home another Most Valuable Player trophy into their collection.
Joining the ranks of Sergio Llull and Sergio Rodriguez is the highly-touted Slovenian Luka Doncic — becoming the youngest EuroLeague MVP in league history and no doubt adds more credence (not like he needs it) to the 19-year-old's growing list of accolades.

The potential second overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft (or perhaps top overall if the Phoenix Suns' ties are to be believed), could also beef up his resume with a victory against Fenerbahçe Doğuş in the EuroLeague Finals.
Doncic has been with Real Madrid since he was 13 and ultimately joined their senior team in 2015 after a phenomenal junior stint that caught the eye of several scouts. He would then set several milestones in the league, mostly in the realm of their Performance Index Rating or otherwise known simply as PIR which is the EuroLeague equivalent of the Player Efficiency Rating or PER used by the NBA. Doncic is the youngest player to lead the league in PIR average and consistently ranks among the top in PIR.
The teenager mentioned in interviews that he is unsure if he will indeed join the NBA immediately after being drafted, citing that he will make the decision after the season — leading to speculations that the 6-foot-8 point forward is merely posturing in hopes of landing in a more preferable team. He is also under contract for three more years with Real Madrid with an expensive buyout that could further complicate matters.
