With all the backlash he is receiving from his recent verbal attack on LeBron James, President Donald Trump appeared to have dialed back a bit, notably evading the topic during an Ohio rally he attended Saturday Night.
After insulting the Los Angeles Lakers star in a recent tweet, Trump did not even mention LeBron James in his hour-long address. The President was in Ohio to campaign for Republican U.S. Senator Troy Balderson.
On more than a few occasions, the President has been known to not hold back on publicly stating his convictions, regardless if the situation warranted it or not. However, Trump may have been a little bit more cautious here, as he was, after all, addressing James' home state.

From the political landscape, former U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton and Ohio Governor John Kasich, have each had their say on the matter.
NBA stars like Stephen Curry, Karl-Anthony Towns, and even the great Michael Jordan have all willingly jumped in on the bandwagon. Statements of support have also been released by Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.

Furthering his insults on James may have resulted in a negative reaction from the crowd.
