NBA fans were treated to one of the best games of the season and some late-game drama on Monday night when the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors clashed in Canada.
The Nuggets entered the night as the second seed in the Western Conference while the Raptors held the first seed in the East. The game came down to the final seconds, and it was either team's game to win with seven ticks left and the score tied at 103-103.
The wild sequence began with Raptors forward Serge Ibaka fouling Denver's Nikola Jokic before the ball was inbounded, leading to one free throw and possession. Jokic drained the free throw, then received the inbound pass on the ensuing play.

Amazingly, the ball went through, but officials waved it off after claiming the foul happened before the shot, making one of the best circus shots of the season irrelevant.
Jokic would make the next two free throws, meaning the Raptors would need a three-pointer to tie the game. The ball ended up in Kyle Lowry's hands, and he rimmed out on a contested three from the right wing, ending the game.
Thankfully, this is only the first matchup we will see between these two. In just 13 days, there will be a rematch in the Nuggets' turf as the Raptors look to avenge their loss. NBA fans everywhere can only hope the rematch will be just as good as the original.
