With the Golden State Warriors being able to add a few more key pieces this summer to their already-formidable lineup, DeMarcus Cousins understands that despite playing alongside Anthony Davis, Jrue Holiday, and Rajon Rondo, it may not be enough to topple the reigning NBA champions.

Bearing that in mind, the 6-foot-11 big man admitted that he has been recruiting players to join their team, in order to have a better shot at winning.

Although Cousins did not drop any names, he made it known that he has tried to lure a lot of them to bring their talents to The Big Easy, and possibly form a “super team” together with their core.

DeMarcus Cousins was part of a trade back in February that landed him with the Pelicans, who now have arguably the best frontcourt duo in the league today. However, even with him and Davis leading their charge, the previous season still ended in disappointing fashion as they failed to make it to the playoffs.

The 26-year-old Kentucky product may not have been successful in his recruitment this summer, but if their team can show a lot of improvement next season, they might emerge as a potential landing spot for future big-name free agents. But it all starts with how he and The Brow will co-exist through an entire campaign.
