New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis had another incredible performance on Friday night, which helped him stay well ahead of other active NBA players when it comes to a certain achievement.

Davis went for 48 points and 17 rebounds while going 20-of-32 from the field in the team's 114-112 victory over the Dallas Mavericks at Smoothie King Center, with the former Kentucky star hitting the game-winner.

With that incredible stat line, Anthony Davis earned his ninth game of 45-plus points and 15-plus rebounds during his NBA career.

As for how that compares to other players around the league? Well, let's just say that Davis continues to show why he's one of the most dominant players in basketball right now.

While Davis may have a little ways to go before catching Wilt Chamberlain, it's clear that the Pelicans star is doing things that just don't happen very often in the NBA.

His play helped New Orleans get a much-needed victory, which helped the Pelicans put a stop to their five-game losing streak.

Of course, the bigger story moving forward is likely going to be Davis' future with the franchise, as speculation has been running wild about him possibly heading elsewhere.

Obviously, most of the chatter has involved him eventually starring beside LeBron James with the Los Angeles Lakers, which would help form perhaps the top playmaking duo in the league.

But for now, Davis will continue to focus on racking up these ridiculous stats in New Orleans.

Next up for the Pelicans is a showdown with the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.
