Anthony Davis clarified the comments he made during the All-Star Weekend in a last-ditch attempt to salvage a poorly-versed explanation of his shortlist of trade destinations. Davis requested a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans in late January.

“All 29 are on the list,” Davis said during an interview prior to a Friday night tilt against the Indiana Pacers, according to Andrew Lopez of the New Orleans Times Picayune. “Obviously, I just put them in order. But all the teams are on the list. No one is really excluded.”

He later clarified his comments on the Boston Celtics, after his father; Anthony Davis Sr. expressed his repugnance for the Celtics' front office at the wake of Isaiah Thomas' trade.

“Someone asked me about Boston. I never said Boston wasn’t on the list,” the Pelicans big man clarified. “Obviously, like you said, there are teams I will consider signing long-term with and some that I wouldn’t. That’s all that was.”

The Pelicans made a move in the front office last Friday, parting ways with Dell Demps and promoting Danny Ferry to interim duties for the rest of the season.

Asked if the change would be enough to make him consider staying in New Orleans if consequent ones are made, Davis was succinct in response.

“No,” he said.

Davis has his mind made up on leaving, and while he's attempting to clean up his image by opening the bidding war to any team, his agent Rich Paul, has already made this a very inconvenient mess by hard-posturing with the franchise, a situation that will leave The Brow looking like a villain to the franchise and its fans.
