The New Orleans Pelicans are looking to snap a four-game losing streak when they take on the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, and superstar big man Anthony Davis will make his return to the lineup after missing the previous game.

Davis suffered a elbow sprain a few games ago, but was able to give it a go against the Golden State Warriors on Oct. 31. He then sat out the following day's game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 1.

In five games this season, Anthony Davis has been a monster per usual. The Chicago native is averaging 25.2 points, 13.0 rebounds and 5.2 assists while shooting 49.4 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from beyond the arc and 71.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Pelicans started the season 4-0, but have dropped four-straight since. Three of those four losses have been by double-digits. The return of Anthony Davis, a top-five player in the NBA, should help New Orleans get back on the right path, although the Spurs have been playing really good basketball to start the year.

How valuable is Davis to the Pelicans' success? When AD is on the floor, New Orleans has an offensive rating of 128.2. When Davis is off the court, that rating drops all the way down to 111.8.

The same goes for the Pelicans' defense, as opponents have an offensive rating of 111.5 when Davis is protecting the paint. That number increases to 126.9 when The Brow goes to the bench or isn't playing.
