The Pelicans selected Davis with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Kentucky. Davis has made the All-Star team six times and is the franchise leader in points, rebounds, blocks, points per game and player efficiency rating.

Cousins, however, tore his Achilles tendon last season. The Pelicans didn't re-sign Cousins, who signed with the Golden State Warriors last offseason.
Boogie recently said after all the goofy stuff that happened with him last summer in free agency, he knew Davis was going to request a trade from the Pelicans. AD signed with agent Rich Paul of Klutch Sports before the 2018-19 season started. Paul, of course is the agent of Los Angeles Lakers star small forward LeBron James.
Davis played in 56 games this season. He averaged 25.9 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists.
