Portland Trail Blazers center Enes Kanter has never been one to mince words and that trend continued on Wednesday when he was asked to talk about New Orleans Pelicans No. 1 overall pick Zion Williamson.
During an appearance on “The Herd” with Colin Cowherd, Kanter took a shot at Williamson, saying the high-flyer is “Julius Randle with hops.”

Williamson hasn't even played a game in the NBA yet and he's already getting ripped by Kanter. The Blazers big man clearly isn't afraid to speak his mind when it comes to the new Pelicans star.
Article Continues BelowThe funny thing is that a lot of people see Williamson has a more athletic version of Randle. Both Williamson and Randle do all of their damage in the paint and at the rim. Neither guy has a reliable perimeter game. Williamson is just so athletic and explosive that he's garnering a lot of hype, hype which Kanter doesn't understand.
Williamson and the Pelicans will have their chance to get back at Kanter in 2019-20. We'll see if Kanter is still on the Blazers, though. Enes becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.
You can bet Pelicans fans are hoping for Zion to dunk all over Kanter and rub it in his face.
