Wednesday night is the first home game for the New Orleans Pelicans since superstar big man Anthony Davis requested a trade, and the fans in The Big Easy are using this as their chance to convince AD to stay.

The Athletic's Will Guillory found a fan at the game who had a sign saying the fans in New Orleans will love Anthony Davis more than LeBron James will.

Anthony Davis reportedly prefers to play for the Lakers and join LeBron.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 7. New Orleans could hold onto The Brow until the summer, which means once Davis recovers from his finger injury, he could play in front of the Pelicans fans.

This is the moment that all of New Orleans has been dreading. When Anthony Davis signed with James' agent before the 2018-19 season started, the writing was on the wall for Davis to bolt New Orleans and plan his exit strategy.

The fans love Davis. He's one of the best players in the world. Until he's actually traded, they are going to do whatever they can to help the All-Star possibly change his mind, although it's highly unlikely that will happen.

Davis has been with the Pelicans since 2012. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
