Lonzo Ball will be able to help Zion Williamson, Jaxson Hayes, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Marcos Louzada Silva navigate through their first year in the NBA. The four youngsters are rookies on the Pelicans this upcoming season.
Ball is going to do most of his damage on the court for New Orleans. The former No. 2 overall pick has showed in his first two years in the NBA he's an elite perimeter defender. The Pelicans can't wait for Ball and point guard Jrue Holiday to lock down opposing guards together.
Ball has career averages of 10.0 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists. The 6-foot-6 guard has to improve his shooting splits in 2019-20. Ball is shooting just 38.0 percent from the field, 31.5 percent from beyond the arc and 43.7 percent from the free-throw line in his first 99 games in the league.
