Since Anthony Davis' arrival to the New Orleans Pelicans for the 2012-13 NBA season, the team has seemingly been hit with injuries to the entire roster. Last season, the Pelicans received their second hardship from the league after four players missed at least three games.

Breaux has missed the majority of training camp with what team physicians diagnosed as a leg contusion. On Monday, he underwent X-rays as part of a second opinion that revealed a fractured fibula that will keep him out for four to six weeks, the source said.
Considering the circumstances, changes needed to be made for the players to perform at their optimal levels. During his time in New Orleans, Davis has not been able to play the full 82-game schedule and is considered to be injury-prone.
For the Pelicans, there is pressure to make the playoffs this upcoming season and they will need to ensure Davis, DeMarcus Cousins, and Jrue Holiday are relatively healthy.
