New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram stole the show away from new Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony in the 10-time All-Star's long-awaited return on Tuesday, throwing down an impressive fast-break dunk on CJ McCollum (via Bleacher Report).

Ingram, 22, was acquired by New Orleans in the Anthony Davis alongside Lonzo Ball and Josh Hart. The former second-overall pick from the 2016 NBA Draft has steadily improved in his young NBA career, eschewing early comparisons to MVP Kevin Durant to start developing his own reputation in the league.

The Pelicans are embroiled in a primetime contest with the Blazers, another underachieving franchise at the moment dealing with injuries, which explains the late-last-week signing of the veteran forward Anthony, who last played in November of last year for the Houston Rockets.

The fourth-year forward Ingram returned from a right knee injury, which sidelined him for four games before Tuesday.
