The New York Knicks may have failed to land top-tier free agents this summer, but Julius Randle is ready to give their fans a lot to cheer about in the 2019-20 NBA season.
Randle is considered as the major signing of the Knicks this summer, as he agreed to a three-year deal worth $63 million. According to Ian Begley of SNY, the 24-year-old is excited to bring the old-school mentality in New York, citing the physicality and toughness of the Knicks when they still had Patrick Ewing and Charles Oakley in the team.

Randle is expected to play a major role in New York in the next three years. The former Kentucky standout is coming off the best season of his career. He played 73 games with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he averaged 21.4 points on top of 8.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
The Knicks targeted the likes of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, but they missed out, forcing them to consider other options. They eventually signed Taj Gibson, Bobby Portis, and Elfrid Payton in free agency. The Knicks also got a promising rookie in RJ Barrett, who was selected third overall in last month's draft.
