Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is rooting for New York Knicks power forward Kristaps Porzingis as KP recovers from a torn left ACL he suffered in February.
Kobe Bryant sent Kristaps Porzingis a nice care package with a message that read, “Get healthy and kick ass.”

Kristaps Porzingis tore his left ACL last season. Before suffering the injury, KP was averaging 22.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest in 48 games and shooting 43.9 percent from the field and 39.5 percent from beyond the arc.
Article Continues BelowACL injuries are very difficult to come back from. Kristaps Porzingis being 7-foot tall doesn't make things any easier. However, the Knicks announced on Friday Porzingis is making sound progress in his recovery and that no setbacks have occurred.
Kobe Bryant had to go through an Achilles rehab near the end of his legendary career. The Black Mamba knows first-hand how difficult it is to stay sane mentally while rehabbing. This is a nice gesture from Kobe, one that Porzingis clearly appreciates.
The Knicks, of course, will not rush Porzingis back this season, which is the smart move since the franchise is in rebuild mode at the moment. Unless he is 100 percent, both mentally and physically, Kristaps Porzingis shouldn't step back onto the floor.
