After a successful beginning to his young New York Knicks career, Kristaps Porzingis found himself in trade discussions to begin the offseason. With the two-year big man missing the team's exit interview, former President Phil Jackson was seeking to trade him.

Fortunately, Jackson was let go following the 2017 NBA Draft and it appears there is stability with the new front office led by President Steve Mills and general manager Scott Perry. On Instagram, Porzingis predicted he will make his first appearance at the 2018 All-Star Game in Los Angeles:

With or without Carmelo Anthony, this is a realistic goal for Porzingis heading into the 2017-18 NBA season. While the team would be better off embracing a full rebuild around Porzingis, he has established as one of the best young big men in the game. As numerous All-Stars have headed to the Western Conference, there will be spots available.

During the offseason, Porzingis has been amazed by Conor McGregor's mentality. While McGregor is considered a huge underdog against Floyd Mayweather, he is famous for correctly predicting the outcome of his fights.

With Porzingis making his first prediction for the new season, it will be interesting to see if it becomes a reality.
