Oklahoma City Thunder star guard Russell Westbrook was already known as an all-around offensive guru, but what makes him truly unique is how quickly he can pad his stat line.

The seven-time All-Star now has 40 third quarter triple-doubles in his career.

This makes it his 17th of the 2018-19 season, and 121 total, needing only 16 more to pass Magic Johnson for the No. 2 spot in NBA history.

Westbrook, just like the scoring menace he has been many times before, recorded 23 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists in the Thunder's 126-117 win over the Magic on Tuesday.

Paul George, who is keeping himself in season-ending award conversation averaging 27.1 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.0 assists, also finished with 37 points for OKC, while Dennis Schroder added 21 (18 in the fourth) points in the team's sixth straight victory.

George is looking like he made the right decision by remaining with the Thunder for the 2018-19 campaign, after rumors circulated in the offseason that he would head home to Los Angeles to play for the Lakers and LeBron James.

Nikola Vucevic also had 27 points and 11 rebounds for the Magic, to make it their fourth consecutive defeat.

Westbrook, accompanied by George's massive production this season, has brought the Thunder to a place they've been trying to reach for over a few years now as a team. At 32-18, it looks as if they finally have gathered a fine-tuned group that plays consistently well within their allotted roles.

Russell Westbrook will continue leading the charge as the trade deadline approaches.

The former MVP is averaging 21.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 10.7 assists this season, making it the third straight year he has averaged a triple-double.
