The Oklahoma City Thunder managed to overcome what appeared to be an insurmountable lead, beating the Chicago Bulls 109-106 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena on Monday.

OKC erased a 26-point deficit and sealed the comeback win with crucial free throws from their New Zealand center Steven Adams. A career 55.1 percent free throw shooter throughout his six-year NBA career, the 26-year-old big admitted post game how nerve-wracking it was to have the fate of the game resting on his shoulders as he went to the charity stripe.

“I absolutely shit my pants. It’s pretty tough. I haven’t realize how much pressure it is. I made it, mate. I’m pretty happy with it”.

Apart from hitting the game-winning free throws, Adams also notched nine points and 11 boards in 28 minutes of action. The Thunder, meanwhile, improved to 12-14 after recording its biggest comeback in franchise history. Chris Paul led the fourth quarter uprising, scoring 19 of his team-high 30 points in the final twelve minutes.
