Orlando Magic big man Nikola Vucevic says he's very happy in Orlando and wants to make his free agency decision before the Montenegrin national team gathering.

Vucevic becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. The Montenegrin national team gathering is scheduled for July 25. NBA free agency begins on July 1.

The Magic made the playoffs this season for the first time since 2012. Orlando lost to the Toronto Raptors in the first round in five games, but it was still a successful season for the Magic, who won 42 games during the regular season.

Vucevic liked playing for head coach Steve Clifford. Obviously, the All-Star wants to re-sign with the Magic, but he knows other teams are going to pursue him this offseason.

“The free agency starts on July 1 and until then, any contact is forbidden. I’m satisfied in Orlando,” Vucevic said, via Stefan Djordjevic of Euro Hoops. “This was our best season since I arrived. Everything clicked with the arrival of the new coach. We advanced to the playoffs, surpassing all expectations and everything’s fine on that side. I’ve also been reading that many teams are interested but to be honest, I don’t know which teams want me. When I see all the offers, I’ll think and decide.”

During the regular season, Vucevic averaged 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists while shooting 51.8 percent from the field. The 28-year-old recorded 60 double-doubles and one triple-double.

The Magic should do everything they can to keep Vucevic. Having a frontcourt of Vucevic, Mohamed Bamba and Jonathan Isaac is a dynamic Magic fans want to see develop moving forward.
