On Wednesday night, the Orlando Magic were absolutely on fire from 3-point range during their 127-105 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers at Amway Center. According to a tweet from the official Magic account for the team's communications department, Orlando set a franchise record for most 3-pointers in one quarter with nine in the third frame.

The Magic, who led the Lakers 58-51 at the half, exploded out of the gate in the second half to outscore Los Angeles 43-30 in the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

This was quite a sharpshooting display by the Magic, who were without the services of star power forward Aaron Gordon and center Nikola Vucevic. On the night, the Magic shot an outstanding 18-of-32 (56.3 percent) from behind the arc and had six of their players make at least two 3-pointers.

After the game, shooting guard Mario Hezonja (14 points on 4-of-5 shots from 3-point range) was interviewed by FOX Sports Florida. He was extremely impressed with how Orlando shot the ball and spoke about the team's character after snapping a three-game losing streak.

“It was really fun. I feel too like every shot we took, it was going in. That got our bench energy up that the starters were playing amazing. We felt really good out there on the court,” Hezonja said. “Everything feels better with the win, obviously, but it takes a lot of character and a mentality when you are losing and things are not going your way. It takes a lot of that to step up every practice and every next game to finally get a win.”

For the Magic, they were led by power forward Marreese Speights' 21 points (3-of-6 from behind the arc) and Evan Fournier's 19 points on 5-of-7 3-pointers made.

The Lakers, on the other hand, fell to a 19-31 record and were an ice-cold 4-of-20 from behind the arc in one of their more forgettable losses on the season.
