The Orlando Magic are reportedly planning to offer big man Nikola Vucevic a four-year deal worth over $90 million, with the hopes of getting a deal done as soon as free agency starts on June 30, according to Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Vucevic becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason. He led the Magic to the playoffs this past season for the first time since 2012, the final year of the Dwight Howard era. Orlando lost to the Toronto Raptors in the first round in five games.

Vucevic averaged 20.8 points, 12.0 rebounds and 3.8 assists in the regular season for the Magic while shooting 51.8 percent from the field. The 28-year-old recorded 60 double-doubles, one triple-double and made his first All-Star team.

The Magic would be foolish to lose Vucevic for nothing. Orlando wants to continue to build their frontcourt around Vucevic, Mohamed Bamba, Jonathan Isaac and Aaron Gordon.

The Dallas Mavericks and Sacramento Kings have been linked to Vucevic. However, it appears the Magic are hell-bent on keeping their franchise player so the team can make another run at the postseason in 2019-20. Vucevic is the best player Orlando has had since Howard. He has career averages of 16.8 points and 10.7 rebounds in 485 games with the Magic.
