While love — in the form of hundred-million contracts — is spread all over the NBA this offseason, the league is still seeing a fair share of animosity among its characters. And perhaps none’s more entertaining as it is petty than the social media tussle between Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid and LaVar Ball, father of  Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard, Lonzo.

In the latest development of this saga, Embiid was fined by the NBA $10,000 after he used LaVar’s name in vain, cursing the head of the Ball family in an Instagram post this week. That’s a sizeable fine, even for someone like Embiid, who is set to earn $6.1 million this coming season.

But thanks to a Sixers fan, who goes by the name “Mike C.”, a GoFundMe campaign has been put up to help pay for Embiid’s fine. As of the moment, the Pay Jojo’s Fine initiative has raised $1,481.

Donations have come from donors, who also happen to have quirky names as noted by CSNPhilly.com.

Some of the names of the donors are priceless. Some good publishable names include Big Bust Brand, Paul Millsap, BBB – Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica, Lonzo Ball, and Ghost of Sam Hinkie.

Whether this would be the end of Embiid mocking LaVar remains to be seen, but in any case, Embiid just learned why Philadelphia is indeed the city of Brotherly Love.
