Joel Embiid went full savage on Ben Simmons after the Philadelphia 76ers finally rid themselves of their want-away star. Embiid took to Twitter to send out a not-so-pleasant parting shot for his now-former co-star and for his part, Utah Jazz stud Donovan Mitchell could not help but react to the troll job.
For context, here is Embiid's original tweet, which many believe was addressed to Simmons:

For those who do not understand what this meme means (myself included, initially), here's a brief explanation from one of the biggest heroes on the mean streets of Twitter:

Donovan Mitchell definitely got the context of Embiid's joke and the Jazz star had just one word to say about all this:

It's as if the Jazz star could not believe Embiid would go to this length just to troll Simmons. Then again, this is Joel Embiid we're talking about here so it should come as no surprise. After all, we can only imagine how relieved he must be feeling now that the demoralizing Simmons saga has finally ended.
Mitchell and Simmons have a bit of history, too, you know. It's not like they have beef or anything, but we cannot discount the fact that it was Simmons who controversially bagged the Rookie of the Year title for the 2017-18 season even though he was drafted in 2016 (he sat out his first year due to injury). Many believe that Donovan Mitchell should have been that season's ROY and there's always been that narrative involving these two young stars.
