Simmons was in danger of missing out the game, as he is suffering from the flu. He missed the team’s practice on Sunday, and only went to their practice facility on Monday to receive treatment. With how he was that time, it can be considered surprising that he will be suiting up right away.

Through 21 games, last year’s top overall pick is playing at a very high level, proving that he is the real deal and worth the wait for the Sixers. He is averaging impressive numbers of 17.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 7.1 assists and 2.1 steals in 35.8 minutes per game. After missing the entirety of last season, Simmons has put his injury woes all in the past and has started the year very well.
His presence on Monday will be a huge boost to the 76ers, who are looking to win their sixth game in their last eight outings and improve on their 13-9 record. However, it will also be interesting to see how effective Simmons will be, and if he will be placed on a minutes restriction.
