Philadelphia 76ers small forward Jimmy Butler says he could see himself being with the Sixers for the long term.

Jimmy Butler, 29, can become an unrestricted free agent after this season if he declines his 2018-19 player-option with the club, something he is expected to do since more money is available to him on the open market.

Jimmy Butler has played in seven games with the Sixers and been simply phenomenal. The four-time All-Star is averaging 20.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 51.5 percent from the field, 55.0 percent from beyond the arc and 86.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The Sixers are 5-2 since acquiring Butler from the Minnesota Timberwolves. The swingman has already made two game-winners as well, one against the Charlotte Hornets and the other versus the Brooklyn Nets.

With Butler in the mix, Philadelphia has a great chance to make it to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2001 when Hall of Famer Allen Iverson guided the team. A Big Three of Butler, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid strikes fear into opposing teams. The more the three stars play with each other, the better the chemistry will become.

The Sixers are 14-8 on the season, third place in the Eastern Conference. It looks like Butler is getting along with his new teammates so far.
