Embiid was seen pointing to his chest as Rudy Gay finished an and-one play. Embiid headed to the locker room with the Sixers trailing by 12 midway through the second half.
He was tied with Donovan Mitchell as the game's leading scorers with 17 points when he left the game. But Sixers fans can breathe a sigh of relief as Embiid returned to the court early in the fourth quarter.

He was apparently dealing with abdominal pain, causing him to leave the court briefly.
Embiid is one of the most talented centers to play the game. However, he has dealt with a slew of injuries throughout his career. He did not play a single game in the first two years of his NBA career. Then he was held to only 31 games in the 2016-17 season.
In the last four years, though, Embiid has been able to play at least 50 games each season. While doing so, he put up massive numbers offensively. For his career, Embiid is averaging a shade under 25 points per game, while racking up over 11 boards and three assists.
This season, he has had to be even more active offensively as the Ben Simmons saga has played out. Simmons has refused to play for the Sixers, prompting trade talks all season.
