The Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden on Christmas Day, but Sixers All-Star big man Joel Embiid scored 34 points, become the first player in franchise history to drop 30 points on Christmas Day since Hall of Famer Allen Iverson did it back in 2001.
Joel Embiid finished with 34 points and 16 rebounds in the loss while shooting 10-of-17 from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and 12-of-12 from the free-throw line. The Sixers are now 0-2 on the season against the Celtics.

Joel Embiid is always putting up monster numbers against the Celtics, but his Sixers seem to be on the losing side more often than not. Philly is now 22-13 on the season and 8-10 on the road.
