Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid put on a show on Saturday as he led the charge for the Sixers in a matchup against the Sacramento Kings. One of the most memorable moments of the evening came in the dying moments of the first half when Embiid treated us with his impressive soccer skills.
It was only recently that Embiid learned the sport of basketball, and soccer was actually his first sport. Basketball is not as popular as soccer (or football, as they call it) in his native of Cameroon, so naturally, he was more inclined to playing with the ball using his feet as opposed to putting it in the basket. On Saturday, Embiid reminded us that he is indeed a multi-sport talent.

Embiid's amazing 29-point, 17-rebound double-double came in a losing effort, as they were unable to hold back Kings guard Buddy Hield and his offensive explosion on the evening. Hield torched the Sixers with 34 points (seven three-pointers), and Embiid and co. had no answer.
Embiid's stellar play throughout the season was recently rewarded by his selection as a starter in this season's edition of the All-Star game. He will be joined by teammate Ben Simmons, who is set to make his first ever appearance as an All-Star. Notably, another one of their teammates, Jimmy Butler (a four-time All-Star), was snubbed from this year's selection.
Embiid and the Sixers still have a handful of games before the All-Star break, starting with an Eastern Conference marquee matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday.
