The Philadelphia 76ers had an extremely rough Thursday night at home against the Utah Jazz. Fresh off of a big road win over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, the Sixers headed home and were eager to prove themselves against another one of last year's top teams. They did not do that and they instead fell flat on their faces in a 118-96 loss that has Philly fans, reporters, and even players such as Joel Embiid all looking for answers. Embiid was asked what his thoughts were on the game on Thursday and had this to say, via Tom Moore:

The Sixers have a lot of work to do on both ends of the court and they don't have much time to get it together. They're falling further behind the Brooklyn Nets in the Atlantic Division by the day and have an extremely challenging schedule coming up. First, the Golden State Warriors and their league-best 21-4 record come into town as Steph Curry tries to break Ray Allen's all-time NBA three-point record for a career.
After that, they travel down to play a Memphis Grizzlies squad that is playing some of the best basketball of any NBA team. The Sixers then follow that up with a home game against the Miami Heat and then a road matchup with the Nets. If the Sixers come out of that stretch 0-4 0r 1-3, they will theoretically be at under 500 after 30 games of the NBA season. Somewhere Ben Simmons is laughing and saying “How you like me now?”
