The Philadelphia 76ers have signed 25-year-old forward Anthony Brown to a deal, according to the team. RealGM's Keith Smith first reported that it's a deal for Sixers training camp.

Brown played under a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves last season and previously played with the Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans and Orlando Magic.

The Stanford product made his biggest splash with the team that drafted him, as the Lakers took him with the 34th pick in the 2015 NBA Draft. Brown started in 11 of 29 games in his rookie season with the purple and gold, but had a tough time sticking to an NBA roster since, playing in only 11 games between the Pelicans, Magic, and the four minutes he played for the Wolves.

Brown's game has promise due to his length and athleticism, and he also shot over 40 percent on 3-pointers in the G League last season. However, he will have to show some fundamental proficiency if he is to stick in the league.

The hope is that the Sixers' developmental team can muster something up with him. Even if he doesn't make the big club, perhaps he can make more waves in the G League and be available for depth purposes in case of injury.
