The Minnesota Timberwolves played “You're So Vain” by Carly Simon on Saturday when Philadelphia Sixers small forward Jimmy Butler was introduced in the starting lineups.
Butler was viciously booed by Timberwolves fans. The four-time All-Star, of course, requested a trade from Minnesota at the beginning of the season and was ultimately dealt to the 76ers last November.
You're So Vain as 76ers are intro'd. And they didn't breeze by Jimmy in Intros, they announced him first and let it linger for a looong time to let the boos come.

Jimmy Butler is used to getting booed at Target Center.
While he was still a member of the Timberwolves, Butler was booed by the fans. The 29-year-old doesn't care. He was smiling and laughing with his teammates while the fans were booing him.

Ultimately, Butler is going to have the last laugh. The Sixers are going to the playoffs. The Timberwolves, meanwhile, will miss the postseason after Butler led them to the playoffs last year.
In 62 games this season for Minnesota and Philly, Butler is averaging 19.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per contest while shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 34.9 percent beyond the arc and 86.4 percent from the free throw line.
Butler becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer once he declines his 2019-20 player option with the Sixers. When the Timberwolves traded for the talented forward in the summer of 2017, the prevailing thought was that he was going to be in Minnesota for the rest of his career.
Things, though, just didn't work out. Whether he is vain or not, Butler is now with the Sixers, hoping to do some damage in the postseason.
