James Harden's tenure as a member of the Philadelphia 76ers is on the horizon. Harden has yet to play with the Sixers due to a hamstring injury but is set to debut with the team after the All-Star break.

Adding Harden will drastically shift the trajectory of the franchise. The former MVP should pair fantastically with Joel Embiid and will fill the team's void star-sized that the team has missed. Although the trade had been rumored to happen for a while, it hit the league hard when it was officially agreed to.

On ESPN's NBA Today, Harden's new teammate Tyrese Maxey said that he found out about the Sixers' league-altering trade while scrolling through Twitter.

Maxey should also benefit very well from playing with Harden. The young guard can learn a lot from him, as Harden was eager to teach him in the Sixers' last game before the break. Playing with one of the best scorers and playmakers in the league should be extremely beneficial.

The Sixers remained steadfast on their stance that they would keep Maxey out of any Harden deal. They were able to do so, sending Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, Andre Drummond and two picks to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Harden and Paul Millsap. Retaining one of their key role players was a huge win for the Sixers.

Now, the only winning left to do is on the court. The Sixers are 35-23 and in third place in the Eastern Conference. For Philly, it's championship or bust.
