So when rumors that Chris Paul allegedly set a curfew for his teammates during the Suns-Pelicans series, fans weren't surprised. “Classic CP3”, everyone thought. It felt weirdly on-brand for Paul to make sure his teammates don't get distracted during the series. Unfortunately, the guard himself denied this claim with a simple emoji reaction.

Paul commented on an ESPN graphic about the topic with the “🧢” emoji. Essentially, the Suns star is saying that Windhorst is lying about him setting a curfew. We, unfortunately, have been robbed of what could've been an all-time CP3 moment.
Still, the fact that the story was believable proves Paul's reputation as a competitor. It was plausible that Paul, knowing how enticing the New Orleans nightlife is, made sure that his teammates wouldn't get distracted or hurt themselves. The Suns being in the midst of a Finals run made it feel more real.
Curfew or no curfew, one thing is for certain: this Suns team is the real deal. They were able to whether injuries to Devin Booker against the Pelicans and dispatched the feisty team in 6 games thanks to Paul's brilliance. Now, they'll be facing a young and hungry Mavericks team led by a returning Luka Doncic.
